It makes it easier to measure in tight areas. The bubble level will help ensure the unit is in the proper position. It also has an optical plummet, which also helps with leveling while measuring angles.

With a rating of IP-66, the Topcon DT-207 7" Waterproof and Dustproof Digital Theodolites allows you to use the machine in different weather conditions. With it being powered with AA batteries, it will work up to 150 hours.
