The Ranger 3RC comes standard with a high-speed 800 MHz processor and 256 MB RAM for running large applications with ease and 8 GB of onboard memory for storing data. It also has an accelerometer that automatically rotates the graphics on the screen based on the device’s angle and an integrated compass with a robust calibration method for better accuracy. This survey tool also provides USB and 9-pin serial communication options; data can be transferred easily to a PC using a cable, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or a high-capacity SD card media.

Operating System

This portable data collector runs with Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system, the worldwide industry standard for PDAs. You can run specialized mobile version of all your favorite programs including Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Media Player. It also comes standard with Adobe Reader for viewing PDF files and SatViewer for configuring and enabling the advanced features of the integrated GPS. This application communicates with the GPS receiver to compute your current position, speed, direction and height.
