The Oakton replacement dissolved oxygen probe has polarographic sensing technology for quick readings, and comes with a cable for wide range of operation. A probe, also called a sensor or electrode, measures the dissolved oxygen (DO) of a substance, and is commonly used for testing water quality such as wastewater, saltwater, groundwater or drinking water. Polarographic probes, also called Clark cell or ampherometric electrodes, are used in Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) analysis. This probe features a replaceable membrane cap for ease of maintenance, and it comes with 50 mL of premixed electrolyte solution for ease of use. Its cylindrical body has an exterior diameter of 0.5 inches to fit inside containers.
