This HyQuest Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge Bird Guard protects the precipitation gauge from birds. The metal prongs on the guard discourage birds from landing or building nests on the gauge while not interfering with rain measurements.
The bird guard is easily installed on top of the gauge by loosening and tightening the bolt until it is in place. The guard can be adjusted or removed as needed to check the gauge.
