The cost effective ARG100 aerodynamic “tipping bucket” rain gauge has been designed to minimise the established effect of wind on reducing rainfall catch. The benefit of this is more accurate rainfall measurements compared to conventionally shaped rain gauges which catch less than the ARG100. The unique shape of the ARG100 was designed by the UK Institute of Hydrology, this is an assurance of its quality. The ARG100 is manufactured and assembled in the UK and it is put through rigorous calibration procedures. The result of this process is a very rugged instrument, calibrated with precision, and capable of consistently recording accurate measurements in the field. The ARG100 is compatible with all data capture methods including data
loggers and event recorders. If required, RPR Ltd can also supply a small data logger which fits in a recess within the body of the gauge.
