Experience quick and precise one handed operation with the PL-960 Pipe and Cable locator. The PL-960 utilizes a fully-tested, high-performance differential pick-up coil, and weighs in at 5.5 pounds.
The PL-960 offers a high power, high frequency locating. With 3 active frequencies, 27kHz, 83kHz, and 334kHz.
The PL-960 is powerful and versatile. It can trace and locate any continuous metal such as iron, steel, and copper water lines, gas lines, tracer wire by plastic pipe, telephone/TV cables, copper and aluminum wire, conduit and power lines.
Max depth 5m. Runs on 6D cell batteries-Transmitter and 6 AA batteries-Receiver. Comes with Padded Case Transmitter, Receiver, manual and Conductive Clips.
Features:
- Single Coil Antenna to track a buried metallic line utility over a long distance and the Differential Coil Antenna to locate the same utility correctly.
- Three different frequencies designed in the most efficient range of 27kHz, 83kHz and 334kHz to locate and track the buried metallic line utility .
- Radio Mode which adds another function to track the buried metallic line utility without using the power from the Transmitter when the induction magnetic field.
- The single vertical bar (line) in the receiver is the "peak hold" feature. The peak hold shows the maximum signal measured in the last three seconds.
- Minimum Mode indicating the position of Receiver when it is positioned at the side of right or left of the buried metallic line utility.
- Displays the sensitivity level changed in the step from 00 10 40 to the signal from the transmitter.
- Displays the current measurement by the step from 000 to 100 which indicates if the depth of a buried object has been measured correctly.
- Optional accessories include an External Coil, and Cable drum with 50 meter cable.
